"Balladyna and Romances" for a long time standing on the shelf, and burned into my eye, but not until the transition to the final seven awards Nike stimulated me to read. I ran into the ears ... Karpowicz has created a book that can be seen on many levels, interpreted lada kalina in different ways. In the first part we know Earth's heroes, and by means of short scenes, lada kalina we see them everyday, problems and feelings they face - love, hate, betrayal, and loneliness. Olga - a woman in her fifties who lives in a small studio apartment and working in a grocery store. Every day is the same - work, home, television, Danielle Steel romance. Jack, a young boy before graduation, whose main occupation is hooliganism and living in the moment. Drink, dope, curses, causing all the trouble and this is his philosophy of life. Anka, niece Olga, a student depends on who you have sex with fast random. Kama is the cousin Anka, arranged pharmacist pregnant, planning a wedding. Arthur is betrothed Kama, as poukładanym lada kalina like her. During a family party betrays her with Anka. Maciek is a friend of Kama, living in a relationship with Paul - a friend of Arthur. Bartek is accidentally known in the club by Maciek man who gives him shelter in his house. Raphael is in turn a friend Bartek, who spends lada kalina holidays alone watching porn. Each of them has its own way orderly life, which at some point more complicated. Karpowicz gods are refreshed and fitted than to our own times. Stars perform status rather easily blend into the crowd, only distinguished names. Their descent to the ground and fraternizing with the people, causes many unforeseen events that overwhelm readership imagination. Author great, with a large dose of irony, national admittedly complex, shows a country with a promotion that opt for their deportation immortal. (...) Tolerance in decline since the seventeenth century, they are musical, the staff are in the literature focused on national complexes, hardly translatable, with cavalry on tanks channels (...) a lot of coal mining, sow rape, eager to eat mushrooms in saliva and spoiled cucumbers. (P. 258) As I wrote in the introduction, "Balladyna and romances" can be interpreted in many ways. Probably everyone will see in this book, some other "second bottom". Karpowicz pushed the boat, down on paper the amazing creations of the imagination, creating original and fresh prose saturated with eroticism, but it does not emanate, enhanced with a large dose of humor and irony. Human problems, loneliness, and lack of acceptance of their own, intolerance, focus on materialism, are just some of the issues raised by Karpowicz. The author realizes how some concepts have changed over the years. God is no longer a god, it is rather a fading habit, or a product of pop culture. This seemingly funny and ironic book, realizes how the social thinking and what values really adore and which can betray your own soul. For me, standing on the shelf since May, I bought a reading guided by instinct, I began to read, I liked, but somehow I stopped, and the state continues to this day ....
